Canadian RVing and Camping Week 2017: Celebrating the Outdoors and Supporting Make-A-Wish Canada

Camping season is officially on us! Though a few have already braved potential snow and cold nights to get off to an early start most of us are just getting geared up to go out. The Canadian Camping and RV Council and Go RVing Canada have partnered up to host the 3rd Annual Canadian RVing and Camping Week taking place from May 23-28 2017. This week helps to launch camping season encourage Canadians to get out and enjoy our amazing nature and celebrate the camping and RVing lifestyles. Parks Canada is also involved helping to spread the value of camping and RVing – the sense of community the amazing memories and getting Canadians in tune with nature.

They’re also partnering with Make-A-Wish Canada to raise money for children with life-threatening illnesses. On Saturday May 27 2017 at 10pm local time campers will gather together for the largest simultaneous campfire and marshmallow roast. Purchase a Wish Star to help support these children with 100% of the proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Canada.

There are also discounted campsite rates at participating campgrounds like 5 nights for the price of 4 and discounts for reservations made for May 26 and 27. There will also be special events and activities at various campgrounds. Click here for a list of participating campgrounds .
